Front cover photoshoot

This was one of the designs i drew for my front cover. I liked the idea of the sketch however i feel like this image wouldn't of suit the genre of Bachata and the outcome of the image wasn't very pleasing. In addition to this it seems like the model isn't looking towards the camera so it's breaking a convention that it must use.
I wasn't pleased with this image due to 2 reasons. One being the pose, he looks really uptight/stiff and his facial expression doesn't really resemble any emotions. Second of all, the lighting isn't very good, it has a yellow like tone which i don't really like. I don't consider using this image for my front cover at all.
I like this image as it has a nice pose of the of the model tilting his head down as he looks the towards the camera. Furthermore, compared to the previous image he looks may more relaxed and loose so it doesn't look as forced. I thought about using this as my front cover image but i thought there could be a better/unique way to present my sell lines and headlines.
So this is my final image and the one I will use for my front cover. I got this idea from my sketches so i could present my headline with the artist pointing towards it so it will grab the viewers attention. I left some room on the top for the Masthead and trapline and around the side for the sell lines. As for mis-en-scene he had his diamond stud on and his ring which will use the burn tool on Photoshop to make it stand out. For the costume i had him with his shirt's top button undone and his jacket on so he looks smart/casual.
